강으로 나가는 내 발걸음에는
아직도 달콤한 잠의 향기가 묻어 있습니다
그럴 때면 나는
산자락을 타고 내려온 바람 중
눈빛 초롱하고 허리통 굵은 몇 올을 끌어다
눈에 생채기가 날 만큼 부벼댑니다
지난밤, 바뀐 것은 아무것도 없습니다
내 낡은 나룻배는 강둑에 매인 채 출렁이고
작은 물새 두 마리가 해 뜨는 쪽을 향하여
힘차게 날아갑니다
사랑하는 이여
설령 당신이 이 나루터를
영원히 찾아오지 않는다 해도
내 기다림은 끝나지 않습니다
설레이는 물살처럼 내 마음
설레이고 또 설레입니다
