대한민국은 파키스탄의 North Waziristan 난민을 위해 20만불의 인도적 지원 자금을 제공하기로 결정했습니다. 이를 위해 2014년 7월 9일 송종환 주 파키스탄 대사는 파키스탄 정부와의 긴밀한 협력 하에 대사관에서 UN WFP -Pakistan Country Director인 Ms. Lola Castro를 통해 동 인도적 자금 지원 외교노트를 전달했습니다.

Korea provides $200,000 in aid for IDPs

ISLAMABAD: Korea has decided to extend dollars 200,000 humanitarian assistance to provide relief to North Waziristan’s internally displaced persons (IDPs).
An official of Korean embassy giving details told APP on Thursday that the humanitarian assistance will be provided through the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in close cooperation with the Government of Pakistan.
The people and the Government of Korea also conveyed their sympathies to the Government and people of Pakistan and stood by them in this hour of need.
The Korean embassy sincerely hoped this aid would help to alleviate the pain and burden of the IDPs up to some extent.
Dr. Song Jong-hwan, the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Pakistan handed over the diplomatic note to Ms. Lola Castro, Country-Director World Food Programme-Pakistan here at the Korean embassy today.
